Large -- Medium Dad (Chet Bart) came into town to help us build the frame for the New Mexico shed. | |
---|---|
Large -- Medium First we went to home depot to get supplies. On the sides you see 41 2x4s to build the framing, and in the center is eight pieces of siding. Dad told us about this nice siding with vertical lines that will make the shed more attractive than if we'd just gotten plywood. | |
Large -- Medium Jason and Dad are discussing how and where to cut this board. Dad brought his super handy miter saw which made the job go a lot quicker and made accurate and smooth cuts. | |

Large -- Medium Once the boards were cut, to assemble the frame, we first would drill holes, ... | |

Large -- Medium Genubi kept an eye on the proceedings. | |
Large -- Medium Slowly we started accumulating a pile of framed walls. | |
Large -- Medium Once all the walls were built we stood them all up in place and tied the corners with zipties so it would stand on its own. | |

Large -- Medium We framed in a good size door. | |
Large -- Medium And a window. | |
Large -- Medium Yipee, the window we got fits in the hole! | |
Large -- Medium Genubi seems to approve. | |

Large -- Medium The last job was to cut the notches for the rafters. | |
Large -- Medium That job didn't go as smoothly as hoped, but it's far enough along that we can finish it later. | |
