Large -- Medium Here is our bus, with people milling about as we disembark in Ceske Budejovice. | |
---|---|
Large -- Medium The Hotel Zvon, where we stayed. It was the nicest hotel we stayed in on the trip. It was much nicer and more modern inside than out. The hotel was on a large square. | |
Large -- Medium Just to the right of the hotel (see overlap from previous picture). Check out the fancy house with the turrett on the corner. | |

Large -- Medium Pretty flowers in front of a government (?) building. | |

Large -- Medium The flowers were just behind me here. | |
Large -- Medium | |
Large -- Medium Look, here we are advertised on the street! | |
Large -- Medium A fancy building across the square from our hotel. | |
Large -- Medium Here we are singing. You can see me directly above the open song book of the lady who is sitting. We must be practicing here; I can't imagine that lady would be singing the actual concert with that bright pink jacket on! We altos were standing just below that pulpit thing; part of it was loose, so we were constantly worried about either hitting our heads or knocking parts off, or both. | |
Large -- Medium Here we're getting ready to sing. The very, very back row is Jan, Ila, Arlene, me, then some tall white haired guy with a beard. | |
Large -- Medium Some shots of the inside of the church. | |

Large -- Medium | |
Large -- Medium Soloists: Base, Tenor, Soprano, Alto. I really liked the voice of the alto. The Tenor is Jonathan Ng, our choir director. | |
Large -- Medium Two male soloists, sitting in the front there. | |
Large -- Medium The soprano soloist. Jonathan said her voice was much better than the alto's, but I liked the alto's voice better. | |
Large -- Medium At the actual performance. | |
Large -- Medium Our Catalina United Methodist Group. | |
Large -- Medium The Korean group we sang with and shared a bus with. | |
Large -- Medium Jan and ? at dinner that evening. At last, they didn't serve us that horrible dumpling dish! Instead, they served fish. Whole. Like, with the eyeballs and bones and everything. It was actually really good, once I figured out how to eat it. | |
