We started the day slow, hanging out at our bed and breakfast. (For more shots of the bed and breakfast, try this page.)
These cute pineapple plants grew in the front yard.
The way to get around the island is the shuttle.
We picked up the shuttle here, in front of Hotel Lanai, aka, "the hotel."

After a swim, we spent some time reading under the palm trees.
Next we continued walking around the peninsula. Here you can see basalt in the foreground, then the beach, and then the Four Seasons Resort at Manele Bay, aka, "the resort."

We found this cool survey marker at the top of the ridge.
There seems to be some kind of fort built at the top of Sweetheart Rock.
Jason took us treking through the brush to find the small harbor on the other side of the peninsula.
